Synopsis

Assyta, a thirteen year-old orphan girl raised by her sister lives with her sister’s in-laws. They live in a Puular village by a river shaken by little girls drownings. Villagers think that these acts are done by the spirit of the river and give offerings. But the truth is much more trivial. Little Assyta, courageous and stubborn , is the only one who knows the truth that lies behind this mystery. She adopts Fabourou, a little turtle who happens to be the spirit of the river.
