We believe in the power of cinema as a tool for transmission and emancipation. We organize film clubs and public movie screenings to encourage exchange, debate, discussion and sharing.
Our cinema events in Dakar: movie screenings and cine-club
National distribution campaign - Timis short film - June 2023
In partnership with the distribution company Wawkumba, we set up a month-long distribution campaign for the film Timis by Awa Moctar Gueye. Our film production company hosted themed screenings in schools (high schools, primary schools, etc.), associations (Village Pilote, etc.), ciné clubs (Gorée Cinéma, Ciné Banlieue, Guediawaye, Centre Yennenga), movie theaters (Pathé Dakar) and open-air movie screenings in local neighborhoods.
We have organized movie screenings in a variety of formats, adapted to each venue: ciné concert, a collection of short films showcasing the work of young female directors, performances, and street shows.
Screening-debate on African cinema
In partnership with the Kimpavita cultural, feminist and eco-responsible festival, we program African films followed by debates aimed at raising civil society's awareness of gender and environmental issues.
Cine-club in Dakar
We organize a bi-monthly film club in Dakar in partnership with Atelier Concept Store. The principle: each member of the cine-club is free to propose a film and lead a debate on a given theme.
